Individual Outpatient Therapy
Substance Abuse Treatment Services
Our multidisciplinary treatment team includes a board certified Addiction Psychiatrist (Dr. Aflatoon), nurses, certified substance abuse counselors, licensed professional counselors, and licensed clinical social workers. By providing a diversity of perspectives to the forefront of treatment, we hope to further optimize the recovery of our patients. We provide the following options for individuals seeking substance abuse treatment:
The qualified professionals at New Focus facilitate individual, group, and family therapies with an emphasis on helping the patient recognize his or her behavior patterns and developing healthier ways of responding to negative emotions. Therapeutic modalities include but are not limited to Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and the 12-step recovery approach. Group therapy facilitates the disclosure of shared experiences and feelings (such as shame, anger, and grief) with others who have similar problems. We believe by combining the aforementioned therapeutic modalities with psychiatric and nursing services throughout our ADIOP program, our clients may achieve optimal results supporting sobriety.
New Focus believes addressing all aspects of the addictive process such as the disease concept, family issues, and relapse prevention strategies through providing psycho-education are paramount in supporting recovery of our patients. Because recovery is a lifelong process, our team places values the importance on discharge planning and the aftercare process.
Our ADIOP program is appropriate for patients who are at a lower risk and no longer require the full day programming that is part of a partial hospitalization or inpatient program. ADIOP is held in the evenings from 6:00pm until 9:00pm on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays.
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) – This innovative treatment plan meets for 6 hours daily and for 5 days a week. We are currently developing this treatment program and will be offering it soon.
